And as the world is recoded by digital natives and algorithmic culture, how will the Church engage the radically different psyche of Generation Z, the emergent values of Generation Alpha, and the yet-unnamed nuances of Generation Beta? These are generations who increasingly question institutionalism, resist hierarchy, and are reared in a world where consciousness is mediated by machines. While authentic spirituality will undoubtedly deepen and true faith will rise in new expressions, can organized religion—as we have known it—survive the shifting convictions, fluid identities, and existential inquiries of these emerging cohorts?
